MEET YOUR STYLIST

Chris’ career in hair begins in Los Angeles. Training under the late great Augustine Souza in Orange County and then stormed the LA barber scene. He spent the majority of his LA time with Baxter of California at their flagship in West Hollywood. A big move to Portland, OR hooked him up with The Iron Society and Strange Powers Salon.  

Chris’ focus is on modern versions of short barbershop classics but having spent time in salons he’s also adept at short textured scissor/razor cuts and long square layers (think Chris Cornell). Chris has a deep love for history, music, hot rods and all things 1960s. When he’s not cutting hair or spending time with the rest of the James family, he yearns for time in the garage working on his 1963 Chevy Nova gasser project. All are equal, all are welcome.  

Lauren has been in the hair industry since 2011 with 10+ years Barber Hair Experience. She has worked in various types of salons and barbershops and while doing so, found her love for cutting hair. She specializes in short to medium length haircuts, beard trims, and straight razor line-ups. Her number one priority is to make sure every client feels comfortable, and receives the best service possible. All are welcome in Lauren's chair. 

Maggie was born and raised in the Portland area and has been cutting hair for about 10 years. She found her passion in barbering shortly after graduating Aveda Institute in 2013. When not working, she spends her free time with her husband, two boys and three dogs either camping, visiting family in Central Oregon or finding a fun, new park to wear out her wild kids. Maggie specializes in fades, short/medium haircuts and beard maintenance. 

Originally from Houston, Texas. Shawna has just over 2 decades of combined experience as a classically trained hairstylist and traditional barber. Her background in the hair industry dates back to 2002 where she first started her career working in one of the top 5 best rated salons in Houston and educated extensively through Paul Mitchell, Bumble and Bumble, and Aveda. Her career took a turn towards the barbering side in 2010 where she has since held her own amongst some of the top talent in Portland's barbering community. Shawna is a versatile hairstylist with a unique vision who transforms her clients with classic tradition, combined with the latest trends. She strives to create an experience that is engaging, genuine, and consistent. With a goal to always provide high quality service and a relaxing atmosphere, Shawna offers services related to traditional barbering; including short haircuts with the use of shears and tight clipper fades, hot towel face shaves, beard shaping with straight razor lineups and free handed hair designs. Her versatile training allows her to execute long layered shags, precision bobs and everything in between that grow out beautifully while maintaining structure and shape. When not in the salon she enjoys outdoor adventures in the gorge and being up in the mountains, but will always be in the mood to hangout in the backyard with her 2 cats Gwen and Gene.

Lynsey has been a salon professional since 2006. She is a master colorist specializing in blonding services (baby lights, foiling and balayage) as well as color melts and "lived in" color. Lynsey is certified with HairDreams hair extensions with both the nano and micro line applications. After living in Portland for 9.5 years Lynsey has relocated back to Scottsdale, AZ but maintains her clientele in Portland with monthly visits. In her free time Lynsey loves spending time with her fur children Newt and Pickle, hiking in the desert and riding reining horses! Lynsey is not accepting new clients in Portland at this time.
